Student of the Month applications are out for December! Students, feel free to nominate other deserving students. Apps are due by December 8 in ASB.                                                                                                                                                                               N. The Torrance Sister City Association is taking applications for their annual student exchange program to Japan. You can spend 3 weeks in July experiencing the Japanese culture and then host a student from Japan in August to show them American culture. If you are interested, pick up a flyer in the counseling office. Applications are due by December 19.                                                                       Dillon
 
Juniors and Seniors NHS meeting @ lunch in the Little Theater on Friday! For ALL members (new and returning)                                Rashid
 
SENIORS
 
Seniors your Local Scholarship applications are due to the Counseling Office by 3pm on Friday, December 2
 
Seniors by now you should have received a senior best nomination form from your English teachers. These forms are due this Friday, December 2, in ASB by lunchtime. No late forms will be accepted.                                                                                                     De La Rosa
 
To attend ECC next fall seniors will need to take a math placement test. If you are out of math this year, you may want to think about taking a review class for the test at Torrance Adult School during the winter quarter. Interested? Please see your counselor so they can give you the information.
 
One of the top reason why students are not admitted to UC and CSU is that they forget to submit their SAT/ACT test scores. Your test scores must be sent to the colleges’ directly from the testing service. All of the campuses to which you have applied will want them sent this way.  www.act.org or www.collegeboard.org. Do it today!

Our new El Camino college counselor, Mr. Miranda, will be available to meet with students on Tuesday December 6 and Tuesday December 13. Like any college visit, you must get teacher approval first. Permission slips and signs ups are available in the counseling office.                                                                                                                                                                                 Lozano
