It is illegal and dangerous to ride bikes on the sidewalk.  The law is clear that bicyclists must ride in the street with the flow of traffic.  If you feel that street riding in certain areas is dangerous (Carson Street near THS) you may walk your bike on the sidewalk.  Please yield to pedestrians.      Inverso
 
Celebrate Women's History Month:  Katherine Sui Fun Cheung was the first Asian female aviator. She was a stunt pilot who flew planes and competed in races starting in 1932. Hazel Ying Lee was another talented pilot who was invited to join the WASPs during World War II; she died in the line of duty in 1944.                                                                                                                                                                      Siadek

ATTENTION - Tickets numbered 164-170 for Exit the Body are stolen property. If you have purchased a ticket with any of these numbers, it will not be accepted for entrance to the play. To resolve this unfortunate problem, you may inform Mrs. Duvall of the name of the person who sold you the ticket.

Students must come to the Health office if they are sick or injured during school hours. The Health Office will notify parents if you are to go home. Do not use your cell phone to call parents as school policy states that cell phones are not to be used at Torrance High School during the day.
 
Come to the Ice Chalet on March 28th for 7-9pm: Support the American Red Cross and help change the lives of many in need! Santa Monica City College is visiting Torrance High School on April 1st! If you are interested in attending the college, be sure to be there to learn more about their campus, their programs, and priority registration opportunities.  Visit the counseling office to sign up!                                     Elizondo
 
SAT Prep Boot Camp at THS: A three-day workshop in April to prep for the May or June SAT. Workshops are Tuesday, April 21, Thursday, April 23 and Tuesday, April 28 from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Cost is $70. Workbook ($20) and SAT Book ($15) available for purchase. Deadline is Tuesday, April 14. ECC Summer Schedule Available (www.elcamino.edu).  Pick up a Concurrent Enrollment Form in the counseling office. Do not register for classes while Torrance High is still in session.  (We are out on June 19th). Schedule a meeting with your counselor and bring your Concurrent Enrollment form with you.  At this meeting you can discuss your options.  Register online as a student for this coming summer.  Take any applicable placement tests and keep in mind you may not take more than 2 classes at a time.                                                                                                         Dillon
 
Cal Grants! All GPA’s have been sent to the state so students can qualify for Cal Grants. Seniors must have submitted their FAFSA to check on their Cal Grant award.
