*Students and Faculty! Every Tuesday will be college Gear Day. Represent you favorite college or alma mater to show our support for a college going culture at Torrance High!                                                                                              Yun
*All students who registered for the PLAN test (10th and 9th graders) should have received a flyer through their English teachers.  If you did not receive a flyer, please see Mrs. Dillon in the Counseling Office.  Room assignments will be posted on Monday 10/27 on all of the outside doors of the administration building and on the windows of the library.  Please remember that the test will take place on Saturday, November 1st.                        Dillon
*The Original Short Plays, written and produced by the 3rd & 4th year Theatre students, run one night only this Wed. 10/22 @ 7 p.m. in then auditorium. Not only are they original and short, they’re also free. The only thing better than live theatre is free live theatre. come check it out.                              Duvall
 
~Torrance High now officially has a surf team and will be competing in the South Bay Scholastic Surfing Association with other high schools in the area. Our first meet will be SAT. 10/25, at the Manhattan Beach Pier. Come to C106, Senor Ken’s room, and lunchtime if you’re interested in joining the team. Be there, aloha!                                                            K. ~PTSA Reflections Contest 2014-15 theme: The world would be a better place if …” Categories are: Dance Choreography, Film Productions, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts. Deadline for entries is Wed., 10/29. Application packets are available from your teachers or the Principal’s Office. All students are encouraged to enter!
*The Attic will be hosting a Ski and Snowboard Excursion on Feb. 7, 2015. More info coming soon…
*The Attic is open Mon- Fri from 3pm – 9pm. They have a computer room, game room, café, pool table, basketball, fitness center and more. Membership is $10. If you need volunteer hours join the Spin Club, meetings on the 1st Wed. of each month at 5pm. (Must be an Attic member).
 
SOPHOMORES
~Order forms for Sophomore pocket tees are available in ASB and are due TUESDAY 10/21.
 
JUNIORS/SENIORS
~Juniors, class t-shirt are $10 and order forms are available in ASB. Return forms to the Junior Class President’s box in ASB by TUESDAY 10/21.
~NHS Apps are available in A107 and are due in ASB by THURS. 10/23. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA unweighted and no “U’s.”                                                                                                                               Fowler

*LCC members come by Ms. Mendoza’s room to by an LCC shirt. Last day will be 10/22 Hurry!!                            Mendoza
